Structural Adhesive Liquids

3M delivers structural adhesive liquids that enable reinforcement and, in many applications, replacement of mechanical fasteners. These liquids afford provide flexible working times making them suitable for quick, efficient application using automated mixing and application equipment. They are heat cured to structural strength at variable rates, using established OEM processes, so there's usually no need to add process steps for adhesive cure.

3M™ Structural Adhesive SA9820
Formulated for increased design flexibility in automotive OEM applications, this two-part epoxy adhesive is ideal for bonding carbon composites. It cures at low temperatures and can achieve the same mechanical performance of 1K, even on oily metals. Bonded substructures can be stored up to two months before full e-coat/paint cycle curing.

3M™ Wheel Weights

Composite-based, non-lead and very flexible, 3M™ Wheel Weight materials meet and exceed OEM performance standards and integrate easily into high-speed tire balancing processes. Level-wound rolls can be cut on demand, and 3M works with equipment suppliers to deliver semi-automated and fully automated wheel weight application solutions. Our wheel weight materials help reduce cycle times, balancer rejects and residual imbalance in wheel assembly. They may also reduce stocking costs related to parts and inventory.
